The building dates from 1829 and is situated in Stockbridge, part of Edinburgh's celebrated New Town. Stockbridge is only ten minutes from the city centre and yet is often described as a "village within the city". The area is rich in history and has many excellent cafes, bars and restaurants. St Stephen Street, famous for its antique and curio shops is only a short walk from the guest house.
